Recreational Fire Pit Permits


The city of Melville requires all residents who have outdoor firepits to obtain a fire pit permit. A fire pit permit is required before constructing or using outdoor fire pits witin city limits.

A permit will only be issued to the registered property owner(s) or renters with written permission from their landlord. The fee for a fire pit permit is $10 per year. New applicants will need to have their fire pit inspected by the city of Melville Fire Chief, Tyrone Mogenson who can be reached by phone at (306) 728-0217.
