The Yorkton Terriers’ Board of Directors announced the resignation of Head Coach and General Manager, Trent Cassan. Fortunate for Trent but unfortunate for the Terriers is the fact that he has accepted an Assistant Coach position with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League.
Trent has spent the past 8 seasons with the Terriers as an assistant coach, head coach and General Manager. During those 8 seasons Trent was able to secure several league titles with the highlight being winning the 2014 Royal Bank Championship.
Trent’s hockey knowledge, calm demeanor and commitment to growing and supporting the game has served the Terriers well. He will be missed both on and off the ice.
