A 52-year-old man from Esterhazy, Sask. is facing child pornography charges.
On May 19, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit began investigating a person who was downloading and sharing child pornography videos and images through a peer-to-peer file-sharing network.
Earlier this week, police executed a search warrant at a home in Esterhazy, where they say they found numerous child pornography videos and images on a computer.
Jeffrey Markey has been charged with possessing child pornography and making child pornography available to others.
Markey has been remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in Yorkton provincial court Wednesday morning.
