Beach Handball Canada has announced another date has been added to the Canadian Beach Handball Tour for 2023. Sylvan Lake, Alberta will be the site of Canada Cup 2 on Saturday July 29th and Sunday July 30th.
Canada Cup 2 will feature several senior men's and women's teams from across the country of Canada that are made up of members of the Canadian National Team Development program. The national event will be capped off with two marquee games featuring the Men's and Women's National teams vs an International team or All-star team to be named at a later date. Following the Canada Cup tournament will be a National ID Camp being held on Sunday July 30th in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Registration will be at 8am with the first practice being held at 9am. The tournament format will be a round robin and then 1st vs 2nd will playoff for the final.
Each round robin win will be worth 25 points. Each playoff win will be worth 50 points. The club that finishes 1st will be awarded 100 points. The clubs that finish in 2nd place will get 75 points, 3rd place will take home 50 points and 4th the place club will make off with 25. These points will count towards the final Canada Cup rankings.
Each club competing for the overall National Championship title will need to compete in a minimum of 2 Canada Cup tournaments to be eligible for National ranking.
