After a record-setting 2023, Project Cornerstone is back with more money for local capital
projects.
Cornerstone Credit Union has launched applications for 2024. For the second straight year, the
annual community investment program will award $100,000 to deserving projects throughout
Eastern Saskatchewan.
“Last year marked a major milestone for Project Cornerstone,” said Cornerstone Credit Union
CEO Doug Jones. “There was a tremendous response from our communities, and we’re excited
to continue offering this opportunity to more projects in 2024.”
Applications will be accepted at www.cornerstonecu.com until June 30. A thorough selection
process will follow, with recipients to be announced in the fall.
Eligible community groups can apply for support to capital projects or programs focused on
youth and education or community and economic development. Project Cornerstone funding is
intended to build, expand, and upgrade facilities or develop programs that improve the quality of
life in our local communities.
Last year, Project Cornerstone distributed $100,000 between projects in Arcola, Melville, Rose
Valley, Theodore, and Yorkton. Since 2006, the program has awarded $551,000 to 46
community projects across the region.
