Regina Police charge two people with Assault in Washington Park

Two people have been charged in connection with an assault with a weapon, which resulted in injuries to a 62 year-old male.

On December 30, 2020, at around 7:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of Athol Street for a report of a knife offence. When they entered the home, they found several people involved in an altercation.

Officers separated those involved and learned the 62 year-old victim had been assaulted and stabbed with a knife in the hand and arm. Two people were taken into custody and are now facing charges. The victim declined medical treatment.

Forty-six year-old Ian George CYR, of Regina is facing the following charges:

Assault with a Weapon [267(a) CC]; and

Failure to Comply with a Probation Order [733.1(1) CC]

Twenty-five year-old Ellan Michelle WOOD of Regina is facing the following charges:

Assault Causing Bodily Harm [267(B) CC]

3 x Failure to Comply with a Probation Order [733.1(1) CC]

Both CYR and WOOD appeared in Provincial Court this morning, December 31, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
