Since 2011, the province of Saskatchewan has recognized October as Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM).
For the past 13 years, DEAM has prompted important discussions, spotlighing the many benefits of inclusive hiring in the workplace across all industries and sectors. SaskAbiliies’ Partners in Employment offices across the province are especially encouraged by the momentum DEAM builds each year in community engagement and increased interest in employment inclusion.
In an effort to continue to promote diversity in Saskatchewan’s labour force through hiring individuals experiencing
disability, SaskAbilities’ Partners in Employment offices are hosting the following DEAM events:

• October 2nd – DEAM Media Event, Partners in Employment, 2122 Broad Street
• October 11th – DEAM Media Event, Moose Jaw City Hall, 228 Main Street North
Saskatoon
• October 5th - WORKNOW! Job Fair, TCU Place, 35 22nd Street East
• October 6th – DEAM Open House, Partners in Employment, 316 2nd Avenue North
Swift Current
• October 2nd – DEAM proclamation at Swift Current City Council, 177 1st Avenue NE
• October 19th – Local business participation for “Light it Up for NDEAM”
Yorkton
• October 17th – DEAM partnered event with the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce, Location TBD. Please check
