The Saskatchewan Rattlers, member club of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), are excited to announce that registration is open for our first youth clinics in Saskatoon on October 9, 2021.
Rattlers fans now have the opportunity to train and learn firsthand from members of the 2021 team. Coaches for the youth clinic include Kai Williams, Alex Dewar, Tyrese Potoma, Lawrence Moore, and Nervens Demosthene who will be giving direct basketball instruction, to give kids an opportunity to learn the key principles of basketball while building teamwork, enjoying simulated gameplay, and making new friends. The first Saskatchewan Rattlers Youth Basketball Clinic takes place on October 9 hosted by the YMCA of Saskatoon. There will be 32 spots available for each age division (8-12-year-old, and 13-18-year-old) that start at 9:30 am with the younger aged kids, followed by the older division at 1:00 pm. Both age divisions have the same registration fee of $125 and participants will receive a swag bag from the Rattlers, snacks throughout the 2.5-hour training session, and one ticket to a 2022 regular-season game. More clinic dates and locations will be coming throughout the year. “We could not be more excited to offer these clinics to kids in Saskatoon”, said Rattlers Vice President Brad Kraft. “Basketball is becoming hugely popular in the province, and it has always been a mission of ours to grow the game at the grassroots level. We can’t wait to see kids with our players enjoying a fun-filled day of learning and playing.” For more information on the Rattlers, visit therattlers.ca. or visit https://www.therattlers.ca/youth-basketball-clinic for all clinic details.
